Jenna Fischer was best known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. Her role on The Office has earned her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category and she also was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by the cast of a comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she was raised at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in church plays when she was a child and was able to instill a love of performing and theater.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. She played Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching the Top Ten worldwide every week as well as receiving over 200 million downloads during the first two years.
