Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey is the largest child among four children. She was encouraged by her parents, dentist, and a teacher who were both teachers to follow her love of acting. It was in stark contrast with her previous desire to become a primateologist because she adored monkeys. It was a quick rise for her to become a well-known young actress. When she first began her acting career, she was a participant in Jeunes Premiers an French talent search TV program sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the The award for the Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, attended church as a young girl and was raised Catholic. But she has since gotten away from her Catholic upbringing. Along with her acting career she also pursued a modeling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Photography is another hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival under the name Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on fame and celebrity and then turns her camera to those who scrutinized her following her sudden rise to fame with Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big performance in Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box-office international hit, receiving accolades at awards galas around the world. Amelie was the highest-rated french-language film to hit the US. In the following year, she appeared in British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet Un long dimanche de fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
